IRS Appeals in Dallas Fort Worth TX

If you are not satisfied with the IRS’ determination of your tax issue, you can appeal to the Office of Appeals – an independent branch of the IRS that helps resolve tax disputes between the IRS and taxpayers. The Office of Appeals does not take sides and ensures both parties involved – the IRS and the taxpayer – reach a mutually agreeable solution without the necessity of a Tax Court case.

It is crucial to understand the appeals process and present a solid case to increase your chances of a favorable outcome. Engaging the services of an experienced tax law firm such as the Law Offices of  Nick Nemeth can provide valuable insight and guidance, ensuring your case is well-prepared and effectively communicated. Our experience in navigating the complexities of tax law can be instrumental in protecting your rights and achieving a fair resolution.

    Types of IRS Appeals

One of the most common types of IRS tax appeals is a “Request For A Collection Due Process or Equivalent Hearing”. We generally file an appeal for a client once the IRS issues them a final notice of intent to levy. The notice is generally delivered via certified mail. This IRS letter informs the taxpayer about their right to appeal.

Another common type of appeal is for a  Rejected Offer in Compromise. This is considered your final opportunity within the administrative process to negotiate the submitted Offer In Compromise. A blank Form 12203 typically arrives in the mail along with the Rejected Offer.

In addition, we also handle all other types of appeals.

    Why Choose Us?

Final notices require immediate attention, and it is unadvisable for a layman to call the IRS on their own. You need an experienced tax attorney, who can handle the entire process on your behalf, starting from speaking to the IRS Agent, to conducting your hearing and negotiating a favorable way out. Your entire financial future could be compromised if the IRS issues are not handled appropriately. However, when you choose us, you can rely on the experience and knowledge of our tax lawyers to help you with your tax issues, no matter the complexity involved.
